WHAT IS THE PIA?

Many have asked “What is the PIA?”  We would like to share what the organization is about, what it has done for the Pecatonica community and what it is currently working on.

The Pecatonica Improvement Association (PIA) is a not-for-profit organization established on September 20, 1984 and serves Pecatonica in much the same way as a Chamber of Commerce.  The PIA MISSION STATEMENT reads: To promote the collective and individual property and civic interest and rights of all persons, firms and corporations owning property in the Pecatonica area; Promote and support Pecatonica, encourage growth, visitors and the quality of life.

Membership in PIA is open to individuals, groups, church and civic organizations and business owners. The annual dues are: $25 for an individual, $50 for a business (or 2 years for $90), and $100 for a sustaining membership.  Monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at 8:00 AM in the Pecatonica Village Hall and are open to the public.
